Wimbledon partnership gives Snapchatters Centre Court seats in augmented reality experience

Vodafone partnered with Snapchat as the Official Connectivity Partner for The Championships at Wimbledon. 

I worked with Vodafone to launch a new augmented reality experience that invites Snapchatters to take their place on Centre Court with a special message from British tennis star Emma Raducanu.

As part of Vodafone’s #FeelTheConnection summer campaign, which focused on using connectivity to bring fans different experiences of Wimbledon, the AR activation features Raducanu and transports Snapchatters to Centre Court via 5G and Vodafone.

The activation supported Vodafone’s multi-year partnership with one of Gen Z’s tennis icons. Earlier this year Raducanu was announced as the brand’s grassroots tennis ambassador as part of Vodafone’s ambition to inspire young people to pick up a racket, get healthy and try tennis as their next sport.

The campaign was listed as one of Snapchat’s top 10 campaigns for 2022 as listed on the Campaign.
